Masters in Gerodontology with Honours 1993 - 1995 at the Royal London Hospital, Thesis: A six-year continuing study of the History of Root Carious Lesions. Previous Part Time Lecturer in Conservative Dentistry at the Royal London Hospital. Previous Part Time Lecturer in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery at the Royal London Hospital 1995 – 2002 and former honorary clinical teaching fellow and former honorary associate clinical professor at Warwick University

Dental Advisor for the LIZ (London Implementation Zone) Project. Working within the Tower Hamlets Health Authority, Dr Mirfendereski visited dental practices to assist with treatment plans and helping dentists with complicated prosthodontics cases on which he reported to the Royal London Hospital.

Dr Sia is former chairman of the British Dental Bleaching Society and now a board member.

He has also been on the Invisalign program and he and his team are providers for the Invisalign treatment
